Graduation Requirements

9th Grade: 

  • Each student is expected to take English, math, physical science or ADV Biology, and world cultures. Ninth grade students are required to take a minimum of 6 credits but are recommended to take 7 or 8 (full schedule).

10th Grade:

  • Tenth grade students are required to take English, math, biology/chemistry, and electives to total a minimum of 6 credits. It is recommended that each tenth grade student take 7 credits. 


11th Grade:

  • All sophomores are required to meet with their counselors regarding college requirements prior to course selection for junior year.
  • Eleventh grade students are required to take English, U. S. History, and math as well as electives for a minimum of 6 credits. It is recommended that each student take at least 7 credits.  
  • Courses that connect students to life after high school, such as advanced placement courses, career and technical courses and apprenticeship programs, are highly recommended for students who meet required standards.


12th Grade:

  • All students are required to enroll in English, economics, civics (if not completed at an earlier year), and a 4th year math experience (.5 credit) and electives to total a minimum of 6 credits, however it is recommended that students take 7 credits.
  • It is recommended that students continue to challenge themselves academically through the entirety of their senior year..
  • Courses that connect students to life after high school, such as advanced placement courses, career and technical courses and apprenticeship programs, are highly recommended for students who meet required standards.


Credit Requirements: 25 Total Credits Required for Graduation

  • 4.0 Credits: 
    • English/Communication: 4 courses and reading/writing assessment 
  • 3.0 Credits Each:
    • Mathematics: Including Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics & 4th year math experience
    • Science: Including 1.0 Credits of Physical Science and 1.0 Credits of Biology
    • Focus Area Electives: Level III in a world language, three or more courses in fine art or music, or Career-Tech Completer Status
  • 1.0 Credits Each:
    • United States and New Hampshire History
    • World Cultures, World History, or Geography
    • Physical Education
  • 0.5 Credits Each:
    • Civics 
    • Economics
    • Career and Technical Education
    • The Arts (Music, Drama, Art, or Graphic Arts)
    • Health
    • 4th year math experience
  • Demonstrated Proficiency 
    • Reading, Writing, Math, and Information and Communication Technologies
  • 6.5 Credits
    • Other Electives
