SAFETY ALERT: Yesterday afternoon a student from the K.A. Brett School in Tamworth was approached at a bus stop and offered a ride home from an unknown adult. The description of the vehicle given to us is a rusted, 4-door silver Ford Focus or Honda Civic, with a raised hood. The description of the driver is a bearded male between 30 and 40 years old. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and the Tamworth Police Department have been notified and are looking into the issue. Officer Stephen Rowe from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department has offered to answer questions you may have about this report. He can be reached by email at: stephen.rowe@carrollcountynh.net. While the student who experienced this situation is safe, please take this opportunity to speak to your children about personal safety.

Project SUCCESS Counselor, Marcelo Maiorano

Please welcome Kennett High School's new Project SUCCESS Counselor, Marcelo Maiorano!

Marcelo Maiorano comes to Project SUCCESS at Kennett with a strong background working with youth in human services. A native of Greater Detroit, Marcelo received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009 from Loyola University Chicago. He previously has served as a domestic violence intervention and prevention advocate in Juneau,
Alaska, and as a mental health support worker for youth and families in the Metro West area of Massachusetts. Marcelo has been an engaged member of the MWV community, serving as a volunteer soccer coach, ESSC volunteer, member of the Community Band, and volunteer firefighter since moving here with his young family in 2013.

Marcelo looks forward to supporting students on their path towards success and helping them to maintain a positive life path at school, at home, and in the community.
