The SAU9 Wellness Committee would like to invite you to a special evening at Kennett High School on Tues, April 5th. Prevention Through Connection is a community-wide event to support substance-fee lives for our youth.

The program will take place in 2 parts; first there will be an after school program for students and followed by evening program for adults.

At 2:30pm Kennett and Fryeburg students are invited to an interactive program supporting substance prevention.  Please encourage your student to stay after school for this event.  The program will conclude in time for the late bus and free pizza will be offered.

Then at 5:30pm there will be a special presentation for adults only. A wide array of community and school resources will be there to share their services and programs with you including High And Seek, a staged teenage bedroom with indicators of potentially risky behaviors.   An expert panel presentation will follow in the auditorium. Free pizza and childcare will be available. Please call 356-4343 if you need to request childcare.

We will continue to run our after school Learning Lab .  This will provide students an opportunity to drop in and work with teachers on homework, missing work or review.  This after school help session is a great opportunity to work with teachers in an informal setting.  The program will run from 2:45-4:45 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week in room A148.  Snacks will be provided.  Please encourage your student to drop in and get some extra help.  Please feel free to call if you have any questions.
